2.3 Definition
The product is part of the electronic locking system DIALOCK. It serves as an electromechanical
locking device for furniture (e.g. cabinets, drawers, shelves, roller shutters).
The product is intended for the following usage areas:
Indoor use,
Use at ambient temperatures between 0° C and 65° C,
Use as a locking device for furniture pieces which match the specified installation requirements
(see Chapter „3. Installation requirements" of the installation instructions),
Power supply through an appropriate power supply unit (PS1 or PS2).
Correct purpose of use also includes adhering to the manufacturer's operating, service and
maintenance conditions.
Any use not mentioned in chapter 2.1 is considered to be improper. The operator is solely
responsible for any resulting damage. It is particularly important to avoid the following:
Outdoor use or use in damp environments.
Use in potentially explosive or aggressive environments.
Use as locking device on gates and doors.
Use in the vicinity of electromagnetically sensitive devices.
Omitting components during the installation.
Changes to the installation order.
Use of defective or damaged components.
Use of non-original parts.
Conversions or repairs to the product.
Use by non-authorised persons.
FT 120
= Dialock Furniture Terminal
The FT 120 is the control unit of the product.
MLA 6
= Multi-Lock Adapter 6
The MLA 6 allows to connect up to 6 locks (→ EFL 3) that are switched keyed alike.
It is also possible to connect a second MLA6 to he first one and thereby control up to
11 locks of type EFL 3.
MLA 8
= Multi-Lock Adapter 8
The MLA 8 allows you to connect up to 8 locks (→ EFL 3) which are controlled keyed alike
or selectively.
EFL 3
= Electronic Furniture Lock 3
The EFL 3 is an electrically operated furniture lock.
keyed alike operation
When presenting an authorised user key, all locks connected to the → MLA 6 open / lock
(→ EFL 3) simultaneously.
individually addressable operation
When presenting an authorised user key, only certain locks open / lock, although several locks
are connected to the → MLA 8.
Latch bolt lock operation (= factory setting)
When presenting an authorised user key, the locks (→ EFL 3) are unlocked for a defined period
(→ Open Time). Within this time span the furniture can be opened. The locks are automatically
locked after the Open Time has elapsed.
Dead bolt lock operation
When presenting an authorised user key, the locks (→ EFL 3) are unlocked. The locks are locked
again after presenting the user key again.
