Always exercise caution to avoid the sharp teeth of the chain, even when your
machine is turned off.
Clean the pole saw thoroughly before storing it. Store the pole saw indoors, in a
dry place that is locked and/or inaccessible to children. Keep away from
corrosive agents such as garden chemicals and de-icing salts.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Switch off and remove the battery before any troubleshooting.
NOTE: The following chart lists problem symptoms, possible causes, and corrective
action if your garden product does not operate properly. If these do not identify and

CORRECTIVE ACTION
To secure the battery pack, make sure
the battery pack snaps into place.
Charge the battery pack according to
the charger's instructions.
Remove the battery, check the
contacts, and reinstall the battery pack.
Release the switch trigger, remove the
saw chain, and guide bar from the
branch, then restart the pole saw.
Remove the pole saw from the
branches. The motor will begin to
work as soon as the load is removed.
Allow the battery pack or the pole
saw to cool down.

Re-install the battery pack.
Charge the battery pack according to
the charger's instructions.
Remove the battery pack, then remove
the sprocket cover and clean out debris.
Reinstall the chain, making sure
thedrive links on the chain are fully
seated on the sprocket. See "6.5.1
Maintenance and Cleaning" in this
manual for installation instructions.
