Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair, clothing, and
gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry, or long hair can be caught in
moving parts. Wear protective hair covering to contain long hair. The use of rubber
gloves and substantial footwear is recommended when working outdoors.

Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off position before
inserting a battery pack, picking up, or carrying the tool. Carrying power tools with your
finger on the switch could result in accidentally turning on the tool causing injury.
■
Always check your machine for external tools. To avoid injuring yourself or harming
your machine, check to make sure all adjustment wrenches, rotating tools, and other
external devices are properly detached from your Green Machine
■
Never run with your power tool, especially if it is turned on.
■
Keep all parts of the body away from the cutting attachment. Do not attempt to
dislodge anything from your machine while it is on. Ensure that your hands and face
are far from any moving parts before powering your machine on.
■
Do not grip the power tool on any non-insulated metal surface on the machine.
■
Keep a firm, tight grip on the power head throughout use. Never attempt to use the
power head with one hand.
■
Don't overreach. Keep your balance by maintaining a firm stance and footing. Always
be sure of your footing, particularly on slopes or stairs.
1.3 POWER TOOL USE AND CARE

Use the power tool, attachments, etc. in accordance with these instructions,
considering the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the power
tool for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.

Do not use the power tool if the switch does not work properly. Any power tool that
cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
■
Turn off your power tool and remove the battery pack before making any adjust-
ments. This may include clearing jammed material, changing accessories, storing, or
servicing the appliance. Unexpected actuation of the appliance while clearing
jammed material or servicing may result in serious personal injury.
■
Do not allow people unfamiliar with these instructions to operate the machine.
■
Use the harness to support the weight of the product and make it easier to handle.

Keep your power tool in working condition with regular maintenance. Check for
misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts, and any other condition
that may affect the power tool's operation. Follow instructions for lubricating and
changing accessories. Inspect the tool periodically, and if damaged, have it repaired
by an authorized service facility. Keep handles dry, clean, and free from oil and
grease.

Always hold the power head with one hand on the rear handle and the other hand
on the front handle.
■
Do not use solvents or cleaning fluids to clean your product. Use a blunt scraper to
remove grass and dirt.
■
Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry, clean, and free from oil and grease.
Slippery handles and grasping surfaces do not allow for safe handling and control of
the tool in unexpected situations.
■
Store idle tools indoors. When not in use, appliances should be stored indoors in dry,
and high or locked-up places – out of reach of children.
