6.1. User Maintenance
6.1.1. Cleaning the Appliance

Before cleaning the appliance, halt its operation completely. Remove the appliance plug from the socket outlet, or
remove/disable the fuse connected upstream.
Wash the inside and the outside of the appliance and the accessories with baking soda dissolved in warm water.
Always avoid the use of abrasive products, detergents or soap. Do not use steam cleaners!
Danger of injury and material damage.
- Care should be taken not to let water into the ventilation grill, nor in any of the electrical parts of the appli-
ance.
- Dry everything well with a cloth.
- The ventilation and aeration grills should be cleaned regularly with a brush or a vacuum cleaner, because
the accumulation of dust increases energy consumption. Be careful that the cables or other elements of the appli-
ance do not break, bend or become damaged.
6.1.2. Defrosting
A layer of akes or ice forms on the walls of the freezer after some time in operation, which increases energy
consumption. For this reason, it must be defrosted regularly.
- To proceed to the defrosting, disconnect the appliance. Remove the appliance plug from the socket outlet,
or remove/disable the fuse connected upstream.
- Wrap the frozen foods in paper or a blanket and place them in a cool place.
- Remove the freezer drain line hole cap.
- Leave the appliance lid open throughout the process. When the defrosting is completed, collect the rest of
the defrosting water with a cloth and clean the appliance. In appliances without a drainage hole, collect the
defrosting water with a sponge or cloth.
To defrost, do not use any mechanical devices or other arti cial means other than those recommended by
the manufacturer.
6.1.3. Changing the lamp
Do not forget to disconnect the appliance from the electric power network!
To replace the internal light bulb, remove the lamp cover located inside. The lamp must have a power lower than or
equal to 15 W.
