Do not operate the tool without the
WARNING
guard in place. The guard must be
attached properly when trimming. Operating the
trimmer without the guard will cause serious
injury.
Installing the Coupler
The tool is shipped folded in half and must be unhinged
and secured before use.
After initial assembly, keep
coupler secured at all
times.
1. Using the hinge side,
unfold the coupler; lin-
ing up the front and rear
pole sections.
2. Using the included key,
secure the coupler with
the three bolts.
Installing the Guard
The guard is shipped
uninstalled and must be
installed before use.
1. Line up the guard brack-
et with the holes in the
guard.
2. I n s e r t f o u r s c r e w s
through the guard and
into the bracket.
3. Tighten the screws

securely using the in-
cluded key.
