ULTIPLE EXPANSIONS
Several BATTERY BOXES can be connected in a cascade formation (check for any restrictions in the UPS
user manual) for operation with extended back-up time. The connections should be executed as shown
below:

WARNING:
Only one UPS can be connected for each BATTERY BOX or for several cascade-connected BATTERY
BOXES.

OMINAL BATTERY CAPACITY SETTINGS
When one or several BATTERY BOXES have been installed, the UPS must be configured to update the
nominal capacity value (total Ah of batteries within the UPS + external batteries).
The configuration can be carried out using the dedicated Expand software or alternatively using the advanced
configuration software UPSTools, both of which are on the CD-ROM provided with the UPS.
Installation and execution of Expand:
Run the installation program Setup.exe contained in the Expand 3.1 folder of the CD-ROM and
follow the instructions.
Run the Expand.exe program (from where it is installed) and follow the instructions.
Installation and execution of UPSTools:
Follow the instructions for installation and use set out in the software manual in the UPSTools folder
of the CD-ROM.
