Now push the awning completely into the brackets and fix into place with screws C1. Ensure
that the awning is seated correctly.
5.
Mark the installation points for the base plate at the desired distance (max. 300 cm). Make
sure that the base plate and the awning are in alignment.
6.
Drill the marked positions and secure the base plate.
Extending and retracting the awning
1.
Keep a firm hold of the handle and pull the awning horizontally out of the cassette towards
the retaining post.
2.
Push the handle down into the locking mechanism of the retaining post and ensure it is
securely engaged.
3.
To retract the awning, follow the steps in the opposite order.
4.
Hold the handle and press the button to unlock.
Note: Always keep a firm hold of the handle when extending or retracting as the awning fabric is
under tension.
MAINTENANCE AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS
The side awning must be checked, i.e. before each use, for signs of damage to the cassette,
brackets, locking mechanism and fabric. If any damage is found, the side awning must not be used
until the damage has been repaired.
Only use a damp cloth with a mild detergent for cleaning. Never use aggressive cleaning agents,
brushes with hard bristles or other sharp, pointed objects. These can cause damage to the
surfaces. The awning fabric can, for example, be cleaned with warm soapy water and then rinsed
with clean water. Allow the awning fabric to dry completely after cleaning, to avoid the risk of
staining, mould, and damage to the awning fabric and seams. Regular cleaning and maintenance
increase the item's safety and service life.
The treated, water-repellent awning fabric can withstand short, light showers. In the event of heavy
or prolonged rain, the awning must be retracted to avoid damage. Wet retracted awnings should
be extended again as soon as possible to allow them to dry out completely.
DISPOSAL
At the end of your item's long service life, please dispose of the valuable raw materials properly
so that proper recycling can take place. If you are not sure how best to proceed, the local waste
disposal companies or recycling centres will be happy to help.
