Make sure that the awning is securely locked into place. Do not let go of the handle before
the side awning is locked into place or fully retracted.
Wind resistance classes
Awnings are grouped into wind resistance classes according to DIN EN 13561 and DIN EN 1932-
2013.
The awning is rated Wind Class 1 when firmly anchored with the correct mounting material
and must be retracted immediately at wind speeds of 28 km/h and above.
Wind Class 1
The awning may remain extended up to wind force 4. Definition = moderate wind.
Wind moves twigs and thinner branches, raises dust and loose paper.
Speed 20-28 km/h = 5.5-7.9 m/s.
INTENDED USE
The side awning is designed and manufactured according to DIN EN 13561. It serves as a privacy
screen, protection from direct sunlight and also as a windbreak up to the wind speeds defined in
Wind Class 1.
Use the product only for the purpose it is intended for. The manufacturer accepts no liability for
damage caused by unintended use. Any modification to the product may negatively impact safety,
cause hazards and invalidate the warranty.
Only suitable for domestic use; not for commercial use.
UNPACKING INSTRUCTIONS
After unpacking, please check the product for damage and to ensure it is complete. Subsequent
complaints cannot be accepted.
This product is subject to rigorous testing and standards in accordance with EU directives so that
we can offer you a product that is absolutely non-hazardous to your health.
ASSEMBLY
Mounting materials are not included in delivery. The fitter must ensure that the mounting materials
are compatible with the mounting surface. The fitter alone is responsible for ensuring that the
mounting materials are suitable for the respective masonry and substrate and that the installation
is carried out correctly.
The relevant mounting instructions of the mounting material manufacturer must be observed.
Any mounting materials shown in these installation instructions are for visual reference only.
Note: The side awning must be installed with the recommended number of suitable brackets,
considering the given pull-out force, and in compliance with the manufacturer's instructions. The
wind resistance class of the awning may be affected by the combination of substrate, mounting
material and location.
1.
Mark the mounting points, paying attention to alignment and correct spacing of the
brackets (model dependent).
2.
Drill the marked holes.
Note: Be aware of supply lines and use protective equipment.
3.
Attach the mounting brackets.
4.
Position one side of the awning in brackets C.
