If automatic levelling is not possible, e.g. because the surface on which the measuring
tool stands deviates by more than 3.5° from the horizontal plane, the laser switches off.
If this is the case, set up the measuring tool in a level position and wait for the self-
levelling to take place.
In case of ground vibrations or position changes during operation, the measuring tool is
automatically levelled again. Upon levelling, check the position of the laser beams with
regard to the reference points to avoid errors arising from a change in the measuring
tool's position.
Cross line mode with tilt function
To access the cross line mode with tilt, switch on the device with the (A-Fig. A) button.
When the laser level is tilted less than 3.5°, it will perform self-levelling.
When the laser level is tilted more than 3.5°, the pendulum system will lock and the level
will enter the cross line mode with tilt.
To indicate that the cross line mode with tilt is on, the laser beam flashes every 3 seconds.
To return to self-levelling mode, simply reposition the laser level at an angle of less than
3.5°.
Working Advice
Only the centre of the laser point or laser line must be used for marking.
f
The size of the laser point/the width of the laser line changes depending on the
distance.
Working with the tightning plier and the telescopic pole (accessories G&H)
The telescopic pole (H) is stable and height adjustable.
Screw the measuring tool to the tightning plier (G) and then to the telescopic pole (H)
or directly on a tripod. Roughly align the tripod before switching on the measuring tool.
Laser Goggles (Accessory E)
The laser goggles filter out ambient light. This makes the light of the laser appear
brighter to the eye.
Do not use the laser goggles as protective goggles. The laser goggles make the
f
laser beam easier to see; they do not protect you against laser radiation.
Do not use the laser goggles as sunglasses or while driving. The laser goggles
f
do not provide full UV protection and impair your ability to see colours.
Target (Accessory F)
The target (F) improve the laser perception particularly on far distances. Its magnetic
base and hole allows to put it everywhere.

basis. Make sure to check for lint when doing this.
Faults
Should a fault occur e.g. after wear of a part, please contact the service address on the
warranty card. In the back of this manual you find exploded view showing the parts that
can be ordered.
Environment
To prevent damage during transport, the appliance is delivered in solid
packaging which mainly consists of reusable materials. Therefore please make
use of options for recycling the packaging.
Faulty and/or discarded electrical or electronic apparatus have to be
collected at the appropriate recycling locations
