Use only the supplied connection terminals to connect the device to a car
battery.
■
Keep the connection cable away from hot parts of the engine and do not let
it hang over sharp edges.
■
Route the connection cable so that it cannot be caught up in moving parts of
the engine.
■
Disconnect the connection cable from the car battery when the device will
not be in use for longer periods of time.
■
Keep sources of ignition (e.g. naked fl ames, lighted cigars, cigarettes or
electrical sparks) away from the car battery. There is the risk of an explosion!
■
Avoid causing an electrical short-circuit when connecting the device to the
battery. Connect the positive pole terminal clamp only to the positive pole of
the battery. Connect the negative pole terminal clamp only to the negative
pole of the battery.
■
Connect the terminal clamps ("–" and "+") only to the insulated area!
