Avoid cutting:
- Prepared wood
- Inside the ground
- In wire fences, nails, etc.
- Small bushes and young trees as the lighter material can catch the
saw chain and whip or throw you off balance.
- Do not use the chainsaw at a height above the shoulder.
- Make sure another person is nearby (but at a safe distance) in
case of an accident.
- If for any reason you have to touch the chain, make sure that the
chainsaw is disconnected from the mains.
- The noise of this product can exceed 85 dB(A)
- We therefore recommend that you take appropriate measures to
protect your hearing.
5. ASSEMBLY
5.1 LUBRICATING THE TOOL
You will need to do this each time you use a new string for the
first time. Soak it in chain oil for at least an hour before using it.
We recommend the use of chain oil ref.6000849 or ref.6000850.
We recommend using only one brand of oil for the life of the chain-
saw as mixing different oils can break down the oil which can dras-
tically shorten the life of the saw chain.
Never use used oil, heavy oil or very light sewing machine oil. These
oils can damage the chain saw.
5.2 PLACEMENT OF THE GUIDE BAR AND THE CHAIN
WARNING! Always wear protective gloves when
handling the chain saw.
- Place the chainsaw on a stable surface.
- Loosen and remove the chain cover lock.
- Set the front guard in position.
- Remove the chain cover assembly.
- Place the chain (a) on the guide bar (b), making sure that the teeth
on the top of the guide bar face forward.
- Guide the chain (a) around the guide bar (b) and pull it to create a
loop on one side of the back of the guide bar.
- Place the chain and the guide bar on the chain saw. Guide the
chain around the drive sprocket (13). Place the guide bar on the
studs (11). Make sure the slip nut clip is located in the tensioner
hole.
Other safety instructions
- This appliance is not designed to be used by young people or disa-
bled people without supervision.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with
the appliance.
- If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manu-
facturer or by an authorized manufacturer's technical assistance
center to avoid any risk situation.
Protect yourself against electrocution
- Avoid body contact with grounded or grounded surfaces (for
example, metal fences or lampposts, etc.). Electrical safety can
be increased by using high sensitivity circuit breakers (30mA) to
detect leakage currents.
WARNING! The use of high sensitivity circuit
breakers or other circuit breakers does not exempt
the user of the chainsaw from complying with the
instructions and safety practices given in this user manual.
- Make sure the chain brake mount is in position before refitting.
- Place the chain cover assembly on the chainsaw.
- Install the chain cover lock and tighten it finger tight.
- Tighten the chain tension adjusting nuts clockwise until the chain
is fully tightened. Make sure the chain (6) is tight around the guide
bar. Do not overtighten.
