Full repeat
Use this mode to repeat an entire cassette side up to five
times. Switch to the full repeat mode using the Repeat button
[9] (FULL indicator lights). Then press the B= PLAY button.
The cassette side will be repeated up to five times.
@ The repeat function can be activated by selecting the full
repeat mode either before or after pressing the p> PLAY but-
ton. It is therefore possible to activate the repeat play mode
as a tape is being played.
Note:
,
Block and Full repeat do not operate during recording.
Using the AMCS Function
The AMCS (Automatic Music Control System) automatically lo-
cates the beginnings of the selections on a tape and plays about
the first ten seconds of each one. It is particularly useful for rapid-
ly checking the contents of a cassette. When either the €or
DD
AMCS button is pressed (record and record/pause modes ex-
cluded), the tape advances rapidly to the beginning of the next
selection inthe direction of the AMCS button pressed and, as the
play indicator flashes on and off, the first ten seconds of that
selection is played back. Then the tape advances to the begin-
ning of the next selection and, again, the first ten seconds is
played. This process repeats until the B= PLAY button is pressed
or the end of the tape is reached. If you want to hear an entire
selection, press the PLAY button to cancel the AMCS function and
return to normal playback.
ANCS operates by detecting the blank sections between selec-
tions. If the space between two selections is not long enough,
AMCS will advance the tape to the next blank space of sufficient
length. In order to assure that the blank sections between selec-
tions on your cassettes are the correct length, use the Auto Space
button to insert these spaces when making recordings.
