Warning - batteries / button cells
• Do not swallow batteries or button cells.
Burning hazard from hazardous substances.
• If the battery compartment will no longer close
securely, stop using the product and keep it
away from children.
• This product contains button cells. If the button
cell is swallowed, serious internal burns can
occur within 2 hours and ultimately lead to
death.
• If you suspect that a button cell has been
swallowed or is in any part of
the body, seek medical attention
immediately.
• Keep new and used button cells
out of the reach of children.
4. Controls and Displays
• ON/TARE button: The device switches on after this
button has been quickly pressed once. Press and
hold the button to shut the device off. This button
is also used to control the tare function.
• UNIT button: Setting the unit of measurement:
Grams (g), ounces (oz), millilitres (ml) or pounds (lb)
Note
• The millilitre display is based on the speci c
weight of water or milk.
5. Getting Started
5.1 Insert the batteries:
• Use a PCS CR2032 coin cell battery.
• To change the battery, open the battery cover
on the back of the device, insert a CR2032
battery with the correct polarity into the battery
compartment.
• Close the battery compartment fully
6. Operation
• Place the scales on a clean, level table.
• Make sure that the scales are stable and do not
tilt.
Weighing:
• Switch the scales on using the ON/TARE button.
"0 g" appears on the display after a few seconds.
• Once "0 g" is displayed, lay the object to be
weighed on the scales. The weight is then shown
on the display.
• After the object has been placed on the scales,
you can set the scales to zero (tare) using the
ON/TARE button. This allows you to subtract the
weight of a container, for example, if you want to
weigh ingredients. Once you have weighed one
ingredient, additional ingredients can be weighed
by setting the scale again to zero.
• As soon as you are nished weighing, remove the
container from the scales. The display will now
show how heavy the object was before the last
tare with a negative sign (the minus sign appears
on the left).
• Once the display remains stable, the scales will
automatically switch off after 60 seconds. You
can also switch off the scales manually by holding
down the ON/TARE button.
Error messages
• When the error message "EEEE" is shown, the
scale is overloaded.
• When the error message "LO" is shown, the
battery is empty. Replace the empty battery as
soon as possible.
Note
• When the weight displayed by the scales seems
to be incorrect, check that the contact between
battery and the contacts is in proper working
order. If you haven't used the scales in a long
time, change the battery and try again
