2.5. Soldering Tip

When using for the first time, a temperature of 250 to 280°C should be
selected and the tip should be wetted with fresh solder.
•
Always select the soldering tip to suit the size of the solder joint.
•
Before placing the soldering iron in the storage stand, the tip must
always be wetted with fresh solder.
•
The cleaning sponge must not be wet, only damp. Oxidation on the tip
must not be ground off. A brass brush or brass wool is recommended
for cleaning.
•
If the tip no longer accepts solder, it can be "cleaned" with a reactivator
at low temperatures.
•
Do not use force when soldering.
•
Recommended soldering tip temperature: 320 - 380°C.
2.6. Replacing the heating element
Before disassembly, the soldering iron must cool down to room temperature
and the mains plug must be disconnected.
NOTE: Do not use metal tools to remove the tip or tip holder from the handle
1. remove soldering tip and unscrew⑤knurled nut
2. Pull ⑥ heating element out of the ⑪ handle
3. remove ⑩ cable clip from the ⑨ plastic part
4. unplug all 3 cables from the heater.
5. Remove ⑨ plastic part, ⑧ spring and ⑦ earthing spring from the
heater element
