Keep third parties away from the wood shredder's
area of operation. Never work while animals or
people, especially children, are in the danger zone. During
operation, objects can be ejected.
The machine can only be used by a single person. The user
must remain within the working area during the entire
period while the engine is running.
While the machine is running, it must never be lifted,
pushed or pulled by the transport handle or other parts.
The control and safety devices installed on the machine
must not be removed.
Work only in daylight or with good artificial lighting and do
not work with the wood shredder exposed to the rain,
thunder and, in particular, under the danger of lightning.
When the soil is wet, there is a greater risk of accidents due
to the less safe working position. You must work carefully
to avoid slipping. If possible, avoid operating the wood
shredder on a wet soil.
Use the wood shredder with special caution when working
near slopes, ditches and wells. Keep a safe distance from
these hazardous places.
In case of nausea, headaches, sight problems (eg. reduced
vision), hearing problems, dizziness and reduced ability to
concentrate, stop working immediately. These symptoms
may be caused by high exhaust gas concentration.
The combustion engine releases poisonous gases as soon
as it starts running. These gases contain toxic carbon
monoxide, a colourless, odourless gas, as well as other
harmful substances. The combustion engine may never be
started inside confined or poorly ventilated spaces.
Starting the engine:
Turn the wood shredder on carefully following the
operating instructions in the instruction manual.
Using the wood shredder according to these instructions
reduces the risk of injury.
When the recoil starter returns to its original position, your
hand and arm can be dragged quickly towards the
combustion engine. This retraction may cause fractures,
bruises and sprains.
Stop the combustion engine when:
▪ The machine must be tilted for transport;
▪ Whenever you intend to move away from the wood
shredder or if it is not under watch;
▪ Before refuelling. Only refuel when the combustion
engine is cold;
▪ The shredder is moved to another area.
Switch off the combustion engine and remove the spark
plug cap:
▪ Whenever you have to adjust or assemble the blades;
▪ Before lifting, loading or transporting the machine;
▪ Before the equipment is inspected, cleaned or before
repair tasks are carried out;
▪ If
