1. Plug your instrument into the input jack. The circuit is automatically
turned on when the plug is inserted.
2. Connect the output jack to your amplifier.
3. OVERDRIVE – Controls the amount of drive/gain.
4. TONE – Controls the high frequency level.
5. LEVEL – Controls the overall output volume.
6. True bypass switch turns the effect on/off.
7. LED indicator lights up when the effect is on. If it is dim or does not light
up, replace the battery.
8. SAT (Saturation) trimmer – Controls the maximum gain, the center
position is equivalent to a TS808 and adjusts +11.7 dB max./-2.5 dB min.
9. BASS trimmer – Controls the bass frequency level.
* Trimmers: A small Phillip head screwdriver should be used to adjust these
pots. Since the trimmers are very delicate, please turn them gently.
10. EXT DC input – Be sure to use a center negative external DC power
supply (AC/DC adapter etc.). When using this jack, an internal battery
is switched off. This pedal allows you to use a DC 9-18 V power supply.
"Regulated DC adapters only"
11. Diode clipping selector – While other Tube Screamers are equipped with
a single set of clipping diodes, the TSV808 employs 2 sets of clipping
diodes. Internally there are two dip switches which enable the user to select
between 4 different clipping forms, 2 symmetrical & 2 asymmetrical.
