Connection to the mains supply
This unit is equipped with a fi xed plug. The appliance should only be connected to an earthed socket installed in
accordance with the regulations. Make sure that the supply voltage corresponds with the voltage marked on the rating
label. This product complies with all binding CE labelling directives.
Installing the unit
Read the separate installation instructions thoroughly prior to installation.
The unit can be installed in any standard hanging cupboard or fl oor-standing cabinet with a minimum width of 600
mm. The unit must only be installed in a suffi ciently large compartment without a rear wall. The dimensions and
lateral clearances required for proper installation can be found in the separate installation instructions.
∙ Suffi cient ventilation must be ensured at all times. Therefore do not obstruct any ventilation slots on the unit or any
ventilation openings there may be in the cupboard.
∙ Ensure that the power cord is not damaged or kinked when installing the unit, and keep it well away from any hot
parts of the appliance.
∙ To ensure safe installation, a suitable safety power outlet must be within range of the appliance.
∙ The power outlet must be easily accessible to ensure that the plug can be quickly removed in an emergency.
Alternatively, the unit may be installed in such a way that it can be disconnected completely (all poles) from the
mains by a separate, fi xed switch.
∙ Do not install the unit above a cooking range, or near any other heat sources, or in the vicinity of water.
Important notes
∙ Caution: certain types of food may tend to catch fi re. Do not, under any circumstances, leave the appliance
unattended when using the microwave, grill or combination functions.
∙ The unit may be operated only with any door to the installation cupboard open.
∙ Do not operate or store the appliance outdoors.
∙ This microwave oven is intended for the defrosting, heating and cooking of food only. Caution: any attempt to
dry food or clothing, to heat up warming pads, house slippers, sponges, wet cleaning cloths etc. may cause injuries,
combustion or fi re.
∙ No responsibility will be accepted if damage results from improper use, or if these instructions are not complied
with.
∙ Use only suitable kitchen utensils. For detailed information, please refer to section 'Always use suitable kitchen
utensils'.
∙ The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
∙ This appliance may be used by children (at least 8 years of age) and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or
