GAME INSTRUCTIONS
Selecting a Game
After inserting new batteries, press the ON/OFF button to turn on the unit. The word "NEW GAME" will flicker on the
screen. You have an initial amount of $5,000 to play with. For Texas Hold'em Poker, Omaha Hold'em Poker, 7 Card
Stud Poker and 5 Card Stud Poker, three virtual players join you at the table. For the other poker games, you play
against the dealer only. Press the GAME SELECT button to select the desired type of poker game. Press the DEAL/
START button to confirm your selection. Press the BET SIZE button to change the bet amount or press the DEAL/
START button again to start a new game. Any player with less than $50 left to play the next hand is eliminated, and
the words "GAME OVER" are displayed for this player. When one of the virtual players is all-in and loses, the word
"FINISH" will be displayed. Good luck!
Texas Hold'em Poker
You beat the three virtual players by having the best 5-card hand that
you select freely from the five community cards and two hand cards.
A. Rules
1. Each player takes a turn acting as dealer for the new hand, with
Player 3 designated as the dealer for each new game.
2. Bet size is divided into a small and large bet (e.g. 10/20 would mean
the small bet is $10 and the large bet is $20).
3. The game consists of four betting rounds, where the first two rounds
use the small bet and the final two rounds use the large bet.
4. Once a new hand is started, the player next to the dealer has to
place a small blind (which is equal to half of the small bet).
5. The next player has to place a big blind (which is equal to the small bet).
6. Then, the cards for the first round are dealt. Each player receives two hand cards dealt face down.
7. The player next to the player placing the big blind starts the betting.
8. Each player then takes a turn to bet and the betting is completed when all the players, except for those have
folded or are all-in, have placed the same amount into the pot in order to continue playing.
9. At any time, each player can FOLD to stop playing the hand.
10. If no one has yet placed a bet, you can CHECK (that is, you keep playing without placing any bet). You can
also BET by placing a small bet.
11. If someone has placed a bet, you can CALL (that is, you continue play by placing the same amount into the
pot as previous players have). Or, if you prefer, you can RAISE the amount by placing a higher bet. There are a
maximum of three raises per round.
12. Blinds can be counted as part of the bets. For example, if Player 3 has to follow a small bet and he or she
has already placed a big blind, then he or she doesn't have to CALL but may instead CHECK.
13. Once Round 1 betting is complete, three community cards are dealt to the table face up.
14. Betting is started by the player next to the dealer and play continues as in Round 1, except the first player
can CHECK (as no bet has yet been made).
15. One more card is dealt to the table face up once Round 2 betting is completed.
16. Round 3 betting is the same as for the first two rounds, except the bet size is now the large bet.
17. One more card is dealt to the table face up once Round 3 betting is completed.
18. Round 4 betting proceeds in the same manner as for Round 3.
19. Once Round 4 betting is completed, the player who first BET in round 4 or the player next to the dealer (if
no one has placed a bet), shows his or her hand cards first.
20. Then each player shows his or her hand in turn if he or she has a better hand.
21. The winner wins (or the winners share) the pot.
22. If a player does not have enough money to bet but would like to continue play, he would then bet whatever
amount remains instead of a full bet. He is said to be ALL-IN and is betting against other players up to that
amount. Any amount placed beyond that by other players is placed in a side-pot for their dividends.
