6) OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

Before to make any measurement, read with attention the section
SAFETY INFORMATION and be sure about all warnings. Always
inspect the instrument against damages, contamination (excessive
dust, grease, ...) and defects. Inspect the test leads against cracks
or defects in the insulation. In the case of any abnormal condition,
do not try none type of measurement.
- Adjust the mechanical ZERO of the Multimeter: Put the Multimeter
in the horizontal position and select the rotary switch to 0.1V. Touch
the test leads together. The pointer must indicate exactly ZERO,
in the left side of scale. If the ZERO reading is not correct, turn
the adjustment screw slowly until ZERO reading in DCV.A scale
(Mechanical Adjustment).
- Selector Switch: Select the functions and ranges, this switch is
located in the center of front panel of instrument.
- Correct Scale Reading: Do not put the multimeter in a metallic
surface. During the measurement, if you see the image of the
pointer in the mirrored scale, there is reading error because paral-
lax problem. To avoid it just look the pointer always of front, so the
pointer is overlapped its image. Do not forget to use the proper
multiplication or division factor for each range. For example, in the
case of 2.5V DC range is used, make the reading in the 0~250
(DCV.A - BLACK) scale and divide the value by 100 (division
factor).
- OUTPUT Terminal: This terminal is used by user to measure a
signal with AC and DC voltage components at same time.
