7.1 The <Setting> menu
Use the SETTING button g to change the appliance defaults for:
<Menu Language>, <Contrast>, <Factory Setting>, <Hair Type>, <Melody>,
<Volume>, <Start mode – Manual/Automatic>, <Clear button with/without confir-
mation>, <Treatment times> to make them the defaults the next time a treatment
is selected.
• The <Setting> menu can not be selected during a treatment.
• All changes can be reset to the original settings when the appliance was deli-
vered by selecting <Factory Setting>.
• Press CLEAR button e to exit the <Setting> menu without saving.
7.1.1 Resetting appliance to the factory setting
1. Press SETTING button g.
2. Press left functional button d next to <Factory Setting>.
3. Confirm the prompt:
<Would you like to delete all personal settings and return to original Factory
Setting?> with <Yes>.
➥ The programme defaults are adjusted to the selected <Hair Type>,
➥ English is set as the menu language.
To change the menu language:
1. Press SETTING button g.
2. Press the function buttons d beside the word English.
➥ The <menu language> changes.
➥ The selected / displayed <menu language> is activated in the appliance.
3. Press the right functional button d beside <Next> repeatedly until <Save>
appears, and confirm.
➥ Your inputs are saved.
7.1.2 Change <Hair Type> default
1. Press SETTING button g.
2. Press functional button d next to <Factory Setting>.
➥ The selected <Hair Type> e.g. European appears in the display f.
3. Press function buttons d next to <Hair Type>.
➥ Three hair types are displayed for selection.
• Select the hair type you mostly treat in your salon.
➥ The selected / displayed hair type is activated in the appliance.
➥ The settings for the default treatment programmes are automatically changed
to suit the selected hair type.
When changing the hair type
• the programme settings for the entire appliance are reset.
4. Confirm the prompt: <Would you like to delete all personal settings and
return to original Factory Setting?> with <Yes>.
➥ The new <Hair Type> is set.
➥ The programme defaults are adjusted to the selected <Hair Type>.
