6.2.3 To ensure customer comfort
Show your customers how they can adjust treatment and temperature them-
selves.
1. The treatment temperature can be lowered by approx. 4°C (degress Celcius) by
pressing the customer button 4.
➥ The customer button display 5 turns blue = reduced treatment temperature.
➥ The temperature symbol flashes in the display f.
2. You can return to the standard treatment temperature by pressing the cus-
tomer button 4 again.
➥ The customer button display 5 turns red = standard treatment temperature.
➥ The temperature symbol stops flashing in the display f.
3. Please tell your customer that she can stop treatment by moving out of the
appliance to the front.

6.3 Switching on appliance

Once the basic setting is made in the <First Use Setting> menu (see "section 4.2"
page 59) the appliance is ready for operation. Please be sure to observe the
safety information in section 2.
Electric shock hazard
• Do not operate the appliance with wet hands.
• Protect the appliance from splashing.
1. Connect the appliance to the mains as described in "section 4.1" page 58.
2. Switch on appliance at the ON/OFF switch 8
➥ The <Treatments> menu appears in the display f.
➥ The appliance is ready for operation.

6.4 Folding out side arms and heating elements

The two side arms of the appliance can be folded in. The two side heating
elements 1 can be put in three positions 1, 2 and 3.
Arm position and heating element position
The following applies to all treatment programmes (except <Drying>):
• The two side arms must be folded out,
• The two heating elements 1 must be turned to position 3.
1. The two side arms must be folded out until they snap into place.
2. Move side heating elements 1 forwards into position 3.
