6) DRIVE
This control adjusts the amount of clean gain, overdrive and fuzz
depending on the mode selector (10) position. The DRIVE control
does not affect the signal and peak LED (1).
7) BLEND
The BLEND control adjusts the ratio of the direct and processed
signals. If it is fully counterclockwise (DRY) the DRIVE control
(6) is inoperative while VOLUME (9) remains active.
8) SATURATE
This control adds reel tape-like SATURATION and limiting for warm,
fat tones.
At higher settings, it is perfect for creating swell
effects with fretless basses. Located before the FX loop (24), the
saturation control enables peak limiting to prevent clipping the
inserted effects.
9) VOLUME
The VOLUME control adjusts the overall output level. It is inactive
when the Pocket Bass Amp is bypassed.
10) MODE SELECTOR
The MODE switch selects between three basic characteristics
with CLEAN providing maximum headroom. Use OVERDRIVE for smoo-
th soft-clipping sounds rich with harmonics and FUZZ for hard and
heavily distorted tones.
11) DI
To double as a DI box the balanced XLR output (21) is switchable
PRE or POST the Pocket Bass Amp's circuitry.
When DI is switched to PRE and the footswitch is in MUTE mode (12)
only the PHONES output (18) is muted. This is useful for switching
the PHONES output as personal monitoring source while the XLR ou-
tput is feeding the dry bass signal to mixing desk.
