3.5. Interconnecting two or more systems

With one single EPC200 base unit you may interconnect up to 20 EPC7000 C systems
(complementary unit without processor). You just have to use the Stack outputs found on any
SPM amplifier. These Stack outputs should be connected to identical amplifiers. IMPORTANT:
The successively interconnected amplifiers must be adjusted with identical settings as the
amplifiers which are directly connected to the EPC200.
Another option is to use complete EPC7000 systems configured as master or slaves,
depending on the functional requirements. For that purpose we have designed the EPP LINT and
EPC AINT multicore, which let you interconnect several EPC units, configuring them as master
or slave. The master system will inhibit all the system associated processors. (See diagram
C/D)
A set of small switches placed at the left side of the EPPLINT circuit board help you
to use one system for different configurations when stacking systems. It is for instance more
convenient to use each power amplifier rack in mono mode when working with even numbered
systems (2, 4, 8...)(see diagram C).
On the other hand, when working with odd numbered systems (3, 5, 7, 9...), one
system would operate in stereo (MASTER system) and the rest in mono mode (see diagram D).
Following this advice will in both cases minimise cable runs, as each power amplifier
rack can be placed next to the speakers, which is the most recommendable situation.
