6.6 Hard disk redundancy
Hard drive redundancy feature provides backup for the video data, once after the hard drive is
damaged, can through redundant data to retrieve video data, ensure data security, improve
the security of the system.
The functionality of the product hard disk redundancy is achieved by specifying channel dual
redundant hard disk data backup, which requires a separate hard disk for redundancy.
Hard redundant set
Login DVR main menu, enter [storage management], select as a redundant hard drive that
you want, click on [settings], set the hard drive to a redundant disk. Redundancy must be
independent of the hard disk, how hard can be high for a group of redundant hard drives. If
the hard disk is set to redundant hard drives, video data is saved in normal read and write at
the same time, will be recorded in redundant hard drives simultaneously. Redundant video
data on your hard disk will automatically Cycle coverage, cycle depends on the video data
and redundant hard drives (disk group) size.
Note: is premised on the DVR set redundant disk has at least 2 drives, one to read and write,
the other are used for redundancy.
Channel redundancy settings
This product can be selected as needed some redundant backup channel or all channel, go to
[configuration management] -> [video configuration], select require redundant backup channel,
in the [redundancy] box checked.
Note: does not turn on redundant data will only be recorded in hard disk to read and write
properly, without being a backup redundant disk.
