6.1

Routine maintenance

Warning!
Before any cleaning or maintenance operation, put the switch in OFF position and disconnect the battery from the
tool. Put the battery in a safe package.
Cleaning and maintenance operations must be carried out regularly to ensure a long-term and reliable operation
of the tool.
Do not spray water on the equipment or immerse it in water, because it would get damaged.
Keep ventilating slots, motor chamber and tool handgrip clean. It must be cleaned by means of a wet cloth or a
brush. Do not use any cleansers, since they could cause permanent damages to the equipment.
At the end of each twist tie reel clean the tie supplying track using tweezers or a brush to remove any foreign
materials.
Every 8 hours remove possible twist tie left in the tie supplying track. Check if pins, retaining rings, springs and
each moving part are clean. If there is any foreign material, remove it immediately.
Keep properly lubricated with oil the cutter and each joint.
Proper and regular maintenance operations can extend the life span of the product.
Tie track cleaning operation must be performed according to the following procedure:
1. Put the switch in OFF position and disconnect the battery. Manually pull up the front cover.
2. Disassemble the front cover in the direction shown in the picture.
3. Pull the tie pressing lever as shown in the picture.
4. Use a brush to remove foreign materials from the tie supplying track as shown in the picture.
5. Use a brush to remove foreign materials from the tying area, as shown in the picture.
6. At the end of the cleaning operations put lubricating oil onto the cutter and all the mobile joints.
