Personal safety

While using the tool keep focused on what you are doing and use common sense. Do not operate the electric tool
when you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medicines.
A moment of inattention can cause serious personal injuries.
Use the individual protective devices indicated in this manual. Always wear goggles. Safety equipment, such as
dust mask, anti-sliding safety shoes, helmet, noise-abatement headset will reduce personal injuries.
Avoid any accidental operating. Make sure that the switch is in the OFF position when connecting the tool to the
batter, as well as when moving or carrying the tool. Carrying the tool with your finger on the operating lever and
the switch in ON position can cause accidental tool operating.
Remove all adjustment keys or wrenches before putting the switch in ON position. A wrench or key left connected
to moving parts of the electric tool can cause personal injuries.
Do not overreach. Keep proper body balance at all time. This enables a better control of the electric tool in
unexpected situations.
Wear adequate working cloths. Do not wear loose clothing or jewels. Keep clothes, gloves and hair away from
the moving parts, because they could get caught.
If devices are provided for the connection of chip and dust collection facilities, please ensure that they are
connected and used properly. Use of these devices may reduce the hazards caused by chip or dust.

2.10 Maintenance

WARNING!
Before performing any maintenance operations or adjustments on the mechanical parts of the equipment,
put on heavy-duty work shoes, protective gloves and goggles.
Routine maintenance and repairs can be carried out only by an operator with the necessary physical and
intellectual qualifications.
Special maintenance and repairs can be carried out only by a qualified mechanic.
Before any maintenance or adjustment operations, disconnect the tool from its power source.
Keep bystanders away when servicing or repairing the machine.
Only qualified mechanics are authorised to inactivate the safety devices provided on the machine when
maintenance is to be performed. It is their responsibility to safeguard the operators and the machine. The safety
devices should be activated as soon as maintenance work has been completed.
All maintenance procedures not dealt with in this manual are to be performed at CAMPAGNOLA Authorised
Service Points.
When maintenance or repairs have been completed, the machine can be started again only if duly authorised by
the qualified mechanic. The service mechanic must make sure:

work has been completed;
-
the machine runs in a trouble-free manner;
-
the safety devices are activated;
-
no one is working on the machine.

2.11 Special safety instructions for the tying tool

Do not remove the front cover during the tool operation. Keep any part of your body at a minimum distance of 5
cm from the tying area during tool operation. Any warning neglecting when operating the tying tool can cause
personal injuries.
At the end of the tying operations firmly hold the tying tool while detaching it. A careful use of the tool will protect
the operator effectively and extend the tying tool lifespan.
Wear suitable work clothes with protective anti-slipping shoes, long trousers, gloves and goggles.
Do not wear long clothing or jewels, as they could get caught by the moving parts.
Keep focused on what you are doing and use common sense when operating the tool. Do not use the tool if you
are tired or under the effect of drugs, alcohol or medicines.
Do not use the tying tool in the rain.
Do not use the tool close to flammable liquids or gasses. Fire and explosion risk exist in case of a short circuit.
Do not try to repair the tool yourself. Bring it to an Authorised Service Point in case of need. All repair and
maintenance operations which are not described in this manual can only be performed by an Authorised Service
Point.
The product is designed to tie vine and other kind of branches with a 25 mm maximum diameter. Do not use it to
tie branches with a larger diameter. Exceeding this limit would damage the tying tool.
