5 Operation
1) Connect the microphone supplied to the micro-
phone input (3) and fasten it to your clothes (e. g.
on your tie) as close as possible to your mouth. It
will also be possible to use another suitable JTS
microphone (
chapter 3).
2) Before switching on the transmitter, set the receiver
IN-64R to an interference-free transmission fre-
quency
instruction manual of the receiver.
3) Set the power switch (2) to "ON". After shortly show-
ing the identification number (
display (2) will indicate the number of the channel
adjusted, the letter of the corresponding channel
group and a battery symbol showing the current
charging status of the batteries in several steps:

After switching on, the display will be illuminated in
green. The illumination will be extinguished after
10 seconds if no further button is pressed on the
transmitter.
4) Via the REMOSET function, the transmitter can be
automatically set to the transmission frequency of
the receiver. For correct operation, make sure that
→ the REMOSET function on the transmitter is not
deactivated
chapter 5.1.2
→ the transmitter is not set to a different identifica-
tion number than the receiver
chapter 5.1.3
→ the transmitter is not locked
chapter 5.1.4
→ the transmitter is not too far away from the
receiver (maximum range of REMOSET trans-
mission: 10 m)
Check the adjustments on the transmitter and cor-
rect them, if necessary. Then activate the REMO -
SET function on the receiver
of the receiver. During the REMOSET transmission,
the display of the transmitter will show
display will be illuminated in blue, then in green;
after 10 seconds the illumination will be extin-

5) Speak/sing into the microphone or, in case of an
instrument microphone, feed an audio signal to the
microphone. The volume level of the microphone
will be indicated on the display of the receiver.
The microphone level of the microphone can be
corrected with the volume control (9); to adjust the
control, use the small screwdriver supplied: If the
level is too high, the transmitter will distort; in this
case, turn back the control (to the left stop, if
required). If the level is too low, there will be a poor
signal-noise ratio; in this case, turn up the control
accordingly. If the level is still too high after turning
back the control, use the screwdriver to set the
selector switch (10) to a lower value (-6 dB or
-20 dB) to attenuate the level.
6) The transmitter can be locked to prevent accidental
modification of the transmission frequency or
switching off
chapter 5.1.4.
7) Fasten the transmitter to your clothes with the belt
clip on its rear.
8) To switch off the transmitter, set the power switch

will be inserted on the display.
Then the transmitter is switched off.
5.1 Adjusting the transmitter
When the transmitter is not locked, the adjusting modes
can be called successively with the button SET (4):
group → channel → REMOSET transmission → identi fi -
cation number → lock function.
To make adjustments in an adjusting mode, see the
corresponding chapters 5.1.1 to 5.1.4.
5.1.1 Transmission frequency (group and channel)
The REMOSET function can be used to set the trans-
mitter quickly and easily to the transmission frequency
of the receiver (
chapter 5, step 4). However, the
transmission frequency of the transmitter can also be
adjusted manually by selecting the channel group and
the channel. The unit offers 64 preset channels
assigned to four channel groups ( , , , ) [16 chan-
nels per group]
