If the unit is to be put out of operation

ful to the environment .
3 Applications
The unit SR-103DMX is specially designed for
application in DMX-controlled lighting systems
and is used to split DMX control signals or to
amplify signals in case of long control cables .
It is equipped with 3-pole XLR connectors . The
inputs and outputs are DC separated by opto-
electronic couplers .

4 Setting into Operation

The figure on page 3 shows an example
for connection . For DMX signal transmission,
special cables are recommended (e . g . cables of
the CDMXN series) . For cable lengths exceeding
150 m or when controlling more than 32 units
via a single DMX output, it is generally recom-
mended to insert the SR-103DMX .
1) Feed the DMX control signal to the XLR input
DMX IN (3) .
2) Connect the jacks DMX OUT (4) to the DMX
input of the next DMX-controlled units . The
jacks DMX OUT are provided with a latching
device . To remove a plug, press the PUSH
lever .
3) Finally connect the mains plug of the connec-
tion cable (1) to a mains socket (230 V/ 50 Hz) .
After that, the unit will be ready for operation
and the POWER LED (2) will light up .
To switch off, disconnect the plug from
the socket .
