2. Important safety instructions
•
Max. user weight 120 kg!
•
Use the shower commode wheelchair only indoors and with the
help of an assistant.
•
Push it only on a flat and horizontal surface!
•
When stationary, apply both the wheel brakes and also the parking
brake.
•
Avoid leaning too far out to the side. Risk of tipping!
•
The shower commode wheelchair must be secured against use by
unauthorised persons (especially children).
The use of a shower commode wheelchair is necessary if the user is
unable to use or reach a toilet because they are disabled.

2.1. Indications
Walking disability or serious difficulty in walking as a result of:
•
paralysis
•
loss of limb
•
defect or deformity in limbs
•
joint contractures or joint injury
•
other conditions
Shower commode wheelchairs are recommended if the patient cannot
access standard commodes, showers or bathtubs without a wheelchair
and the available space is free from barriers.
2.2. Contraindications
The shower commode wheelchair is unsuitable for persons:
•
with reduced or restricted sitting ability
•
with serious cognitive restrictions
2.3. Service life
If used as intended, and the safety, care and maintenance instructions
are observed, the expected service life of the shower commode
wheelchair is up to 5 years. The shower commode wheelchair can
continue to be used beyond this period, provided the product is in a
safe condition.
