Installing and removing the drive wheels
•
Press on the locking button of the quick-release axle with a finger
and remove the wheel.
•
Press the locking button of the quick-release axle again to replace
the wheel.
•
When installing the wheel make sure that the quick-release axle is
correctly locked.
After installing the wheel make sure that it is secure by pulling it
towards you without pressing the locking button of the quick-release
axle.
Setting the parking brake (toggle brake)

To set the brake just press the brake lever forward until it locks (Fig.
11a)
•
To release the parking brake, just pull the brake lever back(Fig. 11b)

Adjusting the parking brake (Fig. 12)
The brake can be adjusted by moving the parking brake on the frame of
the shower commode wheelchair. The compact brakes operate on only
one drive wheel each.
If you find that the braking is inadequate or uneven, proceed as follows:
•
Check the tyre tread depth. Check also that the friction is even. If
the tread depth in the centre of the tyre tread is < 1 mm, the tyre
must be replaced by the specialized dealer.

To adjust the brake, undo the two screws.
•
Now slide the brake in the frame guide to the point where the
distance between the tread of the wheel and the brake bar is 16
mm.

Tipping aid
A tipping aid can be fitted to Variant 2 which has hand rims.
•
To do this, insert the tipping aid guard from below into the rear
frame tube and tighten the securing bolts.
•
For removal, the securing pins must first be pulled out; then the
tipping aid guard can be pulled out.
5. Operation
5.1. Getting in and out
It is easy to get in and out of the TS-Aqua. The foot plate and the two
arm rests can be folded out of the way.
Getting in and out from the side:
•
Move the shower commode wheelchair as close as possible to the
seat on which you are sitting.
•
Make sure that the seat is in a secure and stable position.
•
Lock the shower commode wheelchair by setting the parking
brakes.
•
Fold the arm rest on your side of the wheelchair up out of the way.
•
Then fold the foot plate up.
•
Now slide sideways onto the seat of the TS-Aqua.
•
Make sure that you are sitting as far back in the seat as possible.
•
Now the arm rest and the foot plate can be returned to their
normal position.
