sound reproduced is not distorted. The LED
CLIP (7) lights up in case of overload of the sub-
woofer. In this case, turn back the control
accordingly.
3) Adjust the upper cut-off frequency (35 – 200 Hz)
for the subwoofer with the control FREQ (5) in
such a way that the subwoofer optimally com-
plements the sound of the other speakers. The
frequency adjusted is also the lower cut-off fre-
quency for the output HIGH-PASS OUTPUT (3).
If you connect a speaker system for reproducing
the midrange frequencies and high frequencies
to this output, the filters are used as a crossover
network. In this case, select the frequency
according to the frequency response of the
speaker system connected.

If required, readjust the volume balance with
the control GAIN.
4) When the speakers are placed at different dis-
tances to the listener, phase cancellation may
result (certain frequencies are reproduced at a
lower volume). To compensate this effect,
reverse the phase of the subwoofer signal with
the switch PHASE (6).
Test both switch positions to find the position
offering the bass reproduction of the highest vol-
ume at the listening position. Then readjust the
volume balance with the control GAIN, if
required.
5) After use, switch off the subwoofer system with
the POWER switch.
