INSTRUCTION MANUAL FOR PUSH-PULL TORCH
IMPORTANT:
BEFORE STARTING THE EQUIPMENT,
READ THE CONTENTS OF THIS MANUAL, WHICH
MUST BE STORED IN A PLACE FAMILIAR TO ALL
USERS FOR THE ENTIRE OPERATIVE LIFE-SPAN OF
THE MACHINE.
THIS EQUIPMENT MUST BE USED
SOLELY FOR WELDING OPERATIONS.

1 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Welding may be harmful to you and others; it is therefore
important to be familiar with the safety precautions
described in the power source instruction manual.

2 GENERAL DESCRIPTION

2.1 SPECIFICATIONS
The PUSH-PULL 2003 torch has been designed to facili-
tate welding especially thin aluminum wires, but may also
weld wires made of iron, stainless steel and copper/sili-
con.
The torch comes complete with a Teflon liner, which is
smooth and especially suited to feeding aluminum wires.
Teflon has a very low friction coefficient, but it is not high-
ly resistant to abrasion. For long-term welding of iron or
stainless steel wires, we therefore recommend replacing
the Teflon liner with the metal liner.
In order to be fitted, the metal sheath must be cut to
the proper size. To do so:
• Extend the PUSH-PULL torch so that it is as straight as
possible.
• Unscrew the nut AA, slide the Teflon liner out and slip
the metal one in.
• The liner is longer than the torch, protruding by X mm
(see fig. 1).
• Precisely measure the protruding part (see fig. 1).
• Remove the liner and cut off the end portion by the
amount measured previously (see fig. 2). A very sharp tool
must be used for cutting, to avoid creating burrs that may
obstruct the passage of the wire (see fig. 3).
• Slide in the prepared liner.

• Tighten the nut AA.

3 INSTALLATION
3.1 SETUP
Remove the metal sleeve A located inside the central
adapter of the power source.
Insert and lock the central adapter of the PUSH-PULL
torch, screwing it onto the central adapter B of the power
source.
Connect the wire C leaving the PUSH-PULL torch to the
connector AC on the front panel of the welding machine.
3.1.1 Preparing the wire feed unit of the welding
machine.
Mount the wire coil D on the support, making sure to align
the coil hole with the pin F on the support E. Once the coil
