4 Setting into Operation
GB
1) Adjust the start address of the spotlights to 1 or a
multiple of 4 + 1 (5, 9, 13, ... 61 max.) [
manual of the spotlights].
2) Connect the XLR jack DMX OUTPUT (13) to the
DMX signal input of the (first) spotlight. (The XLR
jack has a latching. To pull out the plug, press the
PUSH lever.)
For the connection, a special cable for high data
flow should be used. Microphone cables of stan-
dard screening with a minimum cable cross section
of 2 × 0.22 mm
can only be recommended for a total cable length of
up to 100 m. For cable lengths exceeding 150 m it is
recommended to insert a DMX level matching
amplifier (e. g. SR-103DMX from "img Stage Line").
3) For synchronous operation of several spotlights by
the control panel, connect the DMX output of the
first spotlight to the DMX input of the next spotlight.
Connect its output again to the input of the following
unit etc., until all spotlights are connected in one
chain.
4) Terminate the DMX output of the last spotlight in the
chain with a 120 Ω resistor (> 0.3 W), but also if only
one spotlight has been connected: Solder the resis-
tor to the pins 2 and 3 of an XLR plug and connect
the plug to the DMX output or use a corresponding
terminating plug (e. g. DLT-123 from "img Stage
Line").
5) Connect the supplied power supply unit to the jack
DC INPUT (12) and the power supply unit to a
mains socket (230 V~/50 Hz).
6) Switch on the control panel with the POWER switch
(11). The red LED above the button BLACKOUT
(10) lights up: the spotlights are turned off
(
chapter 4.1); the red LED above the button
HOLD (2) lights up: the hold mode is switched on
(
chapter 4.2).
7) After operation switch off the control panel with the
POWER switch. If it is not used for a longer period
of time, disconnect the power supply unit from the
mains socket because it has a low current con-
sumption even if the control panel is switched off.

left scale is decisive in this mode.
3) Adjust the speed of the colour change with the con-
trol CHASE SPEED/FADE TIME (6). Also in this
case the left scale is decisive.
4) The colours can also be changed by music control
via the integrated microphone. For this purpose
press the button SOUND (8) so that the green LED
above this button lights up. Turn up the volume at
