The gas enters the burner through the nozzle
and is mixed with air. The mixture is ignited
with an electrical spark. An ionisation
electrode is used to check if a flame occurs
within a few seconds. If there is no flame
within the prescribed time, the heater triggers
a fault. The ignition stops automatically as
soon as good flame has been formed.
The heater is equipped with a pneumatic
switch that monitors the hot air fan. In the
AGA 102, the gas regulator block monitors
the operation of the combustion air fan by
measuring the pressure in the burner head.
It is possible to connect an atmosphere
protection device (CO2).
The AGA 102 has a modulating function,
making it necessary to control the heater with
a modulating controller (see chapter:
Temperature controller AGA 102).
In case of a fault, the burner automat will
switch off the heater. The red lamp on the
operating panel lights up now. It is possible to
connect an external alarm (consult the
dealer).
The heater stops when the selector switch on
the operating panel is set to "0". The heater
can be used as a fan by setting the selector
switch on the operating panel to "Ventilate".

The temperature is controlled by a
temperature controller that is connected to a
temperature sensor or a computer.
Depending on the heat demand, the
temperature controller controls the heater's
supplied capacity. The capacity demanded of
the heater is supplied by regulating the speed
of the combustion air fan. The gas regulator
valve compensates the gas pressure,
depending on the measured pressure in the
burner head and the combustion chamber,
ensuring an optimum combustion at all times.
If the difference between the current
temperature and the desired temperature is
large, the combustion air fan is operated to
the full. Resulting in a high capacity of the
heater. As the desired temperature is
approached, modulation will take place and
the capacity of the heater will be adjusted to
the demand for heat. This modulating
operation of the burner will ensure a stable
value for the set temperature.
To modulate the temperature, choose from
the following:
