3.2 INSERT THE CAM IN THE SLOT COMMON INTERFACE
To insert and remove the CAM from the slot common interface of a Master or Stand-alone receiver, open the
headend front panel with the key and insert/remove the CAM (not supplied) in the slot common interface in
the bottom part of the receiver. Refer to Figure 6 and 7.
ATTENTION: when you use the CAM (not supplied), take note of the maximum operating temperature
declared by the manufacturer.
WARNING: scrolling the channel list the "encrypted program" message might be displayed, even if you own
the decoding rights. Wait a few seconds and the display and decoding will continue automatically (the video
display wait is directly dependent from the CAM).
WARNING: a few functions of the CAM are accessible only after they are enabled. For further information
see the CAM menu (menu: COMMON INTERFACE – CI MENU).
To program and display the internal status of the headend, use a TPE programmer. Each receiver must be
singularly programmed by setting all the parameters that single out the SAT program in the input and define
the output channel (in the VHF or UHF band). Connect the programmer to one of the two RJ45 plugs (see Fig.
1), (please wait a few seconds, TPE searching line of device, when the TPE arrive to the number of receivers
