In the European Union electronic equipment must
not be treated as domestic waste, but must be dis-
posed of professionally in accordance with Direc-
tive 2002/96EU of the European Parliament and
Council of 27th January 2003 concerning old elec-
trical and electronic equipment. At the end of its life please
dispose of this instrument in a manner appropriate to the rele-
vant legal requirements.

3. Safety instructions

The right to warranty claims shall be forfeited in the case of
damages, which are caused by not observing the instructions.
We shall accept no liability for subsequent damages resulting
from these. We shall accept no liability for damages to prop-
erty or persons caused by improper operation or non-obser-
vance of the safety instructions.
In such cases the right to warranty claims shall be forfeited.
Please read the instructions completely before using the instru-
ment. Unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the in-
strument are not permitted for safety and licence reasons (CE).
In order to ensure safe operation of the instrument the safety
instructions, warnings and the chapter "Intended use" must
be observed.
Please observe the following instructions
before using the instrument:
• Avoid operating the instrument near electrical welding
equipment, induction heaters and other
electromagnetic fields.
• After abrupt temperature changes the instrument must
acclimatise to the new ambient temperature for about
15 minutes in order to stabilise before use.
• Do not expose the instrument to high temperatures
for prolonged periods.
• Avoid dusty and damp environmental conditions.
Keep the instrument in the storage case after use
to avoid contamination of the lens.
