7.14 ADDITIONAL GENERATOR
Through USER INTERFACE, it is possible to manage heat with BIVALENT
SYSTEM: activation of an auxiliary generator (es. electric heater, boiler)
for DHW production, with the aim of integrating or replacing, the heat pump
operation, during the periods when the external temperature is very low.

Outside air temperature
This free contact output (clamp F – L , TERMINAL BLOCK) is active if the
external air temperature has a value below that set in parameter 138 (de-
fault=5) for continuous time, through parameter 139 (default=30 min). The
following operation modes are set through parameter 137:
• Par=2 deactivation of the HP and activation of the Additional Generator
• Par=2 HP and Additional Generator simultaneously active
• Par 137 = 0: additional generator disabled
• Par 137 = one additional generator enabled with PdC that
down in the event of activation of the generator additional rides
• Par 137 = 1 additional generator enabled with PdC that it stays on in the
event of activation of the generator additional rides.
Additional generator is activated only if there is demand for hot water pro-
duction for heating DHW, only if required to the frequency inverter heat
pump (parameter 117) is different from zero.
Attention the Additional Generator (any external heat source)
fety devices positioned near the same, adequately protecting the
system from temperature peaks and pressure avoiding damages
to things and/or injuries to persons.

7.15 MIXING VALVE FOR UNDERFLOOR HEATING
3-way mixing valve must be only used in systems provided with a "HIGH"
temperature (fan coil) and "LOW" temperature (radiant) circuit.
Please contact an authorized service centre for the use of systems provi-
ded with a "HIGH" temperature (fan coil) and "LOW" temperature (radiant)
circuit.
.
Note. The electrical connections above refer to the use of the mixing valve
0-10 V powered by 24V when supposed to be a 1KW resistor, to convert
the segment 0-20 mA to terminals + and -, the 0-10V signal useful to the
valve.
7.16 ANTI-FREEZE PROTECTION
The antifreeze function involves the activation of Pump 1 circulator and/
or the starting of the heat pump in heating mode according to multiple
intervention thresholds, depending on: external temperature, water tem-
perature and activation state.
CAUTION
heat pump to be electrically powered.
In any case, with installations in particularly cold environments, it is always
advisable to mix the system water with a special anti-freeze solution.
Note:
To change the intervention thresholds of the antifreeze protection, contact
an authorized service centre.
