16 Safety equipment

16.1.1

Warning notices

Danger due to hot surface!
► Do not touch the hot surfaces of the device. Danger of burns!
► Do not set or lay any items on the device.
16.1.2

Overheating protection

The device is equipped with overheating protection.
The appliance automatically shuts off approximately 30 minutes after the tea has finished
flowing into the teapot. The device can be re-activated after the cool down phase.
16.1.3

Rating plate

The rating plate with the connection and performance data can be founded on the back of
the device.

17 Operation and Handing

This chapter provides you with important notices with regard to operating the device.
Observe the following notices to avoid dangers and damages:
► Do not leave the device unsupervised when it is in operation, so that you can intervene
quickly in the event of dangers.

17.1 Implementing

Before using the appliance for the first time, boil two times a pot of water.
► Pour 1 L water into the tank (1).
► Use the timer (7) to set the brewing time to 2 minutes.
► After the water has flown into the filter pot (2), switch off the appliance.
► Allow the appliance to cool at least 5 minutes.
► Boil again 1 L water, as shown above.
► When the appliance is cool down, you can brew your tea.

17.2 Tea brewing

Plug the power plug into the wall socket.

Open the lid of the tea maker. Use the teapot (3) to pour the desired quantity of
water (0,4 – 1 L) into the water tank (1).
