Mains connection
The rapid charging device APS 36 rechargeable
power station is totally insulated according to class II.
Prior to commissioning, make sure that the mains
voltage agrees with the operating voltage stated on
the machine's rating plate.

Operation
After inserting the interchangeable battery into the
slide-in duct 1 (page 3) of the charger, the
interchangeable battery is automatically charged
(green LED 3 is blinking).
Monitoring of the charging operation is signalled by
the LED displays 2 or 3:
Rapid charging operation
The rapid charging operation is
signalled by the blinkinggreen
LED display 3.
During the charging operation, the 3 green LEDs of
the rechargeable battery light up one after the other
and go out briefly. The rechargeable battery is
completely charged if the 3 green LEDs glow
permanently. The 3 green LEDs go out again
approximately 5 minutes after the rechargeable
battery has been completely charged.

spare
parts,
The rapid charging operation is only possible if the
temperature of the rechargeable battery ranges
between 0°C and 45 °C.
Rechargeable battery charged
The permanent light of the green
LED display 3 signals that the
rechargeable battery is completely
charged.
In addition, a signal is sounded for approx. 2
seconds, which audibly signals the complete charging
of the rechargeable battery.
The rechargeable battery can afterwards be removed
for immediate use.
Without inserted rechargeable battery, the permanent
light of the green LED display 3 indicates that the
power plug is plugged into the socket outlet and that
the charger is ready for operation.
Rechargeable battery temperature below 0 °C and
above 45 °C
The permanent light of the red
LED display 2 signals that the
temperature of the rechargeable
battery is outside the rapid
charging temperature range 0 °C –
45 °C. As soon as the permissible
temperature range is reached, the
charger automatically switches to
rapid charging.
If the rechargeable battery is outside the permissible
charging temperature range, the red LED of the
rechargeable battery will glow when the rechargeable
battery is inserted into the charger.
If several continuous or subsequent charging cycles
are carried out without interruption, the charger may
heat up. This is however harmless and does not
indicate a technical defect of the appliance.
A considerably shortened operating time after the
charging process shows that the rechargeable
batteries are exhausted and need to be replaced.
Rechargeable battery cooling (Active Air Cooling)
The fan control system integrated in the charger
monitors
the
rechargeable batteries. If the rechargeable battery's
temperature ranges above 30 °C, the rechargeable
