For your safety
1.1
Strictly follow the Instructions for Use
Any use of the purifying respirator requires full understanding
and strict observation of these instructions. The purifying
respirator may only be used for the purposes specified here.
1.2
Maintenance
The purifying respirator must be inspected and serviced
regularly by trained service personnel. Repairs to the purifying
respirator may only be carried out by trained service
personnel. We recommend that a service contract be obtained
with Dräger and that all repairs also be carried out by Dräger.
Only authentic Dräger spare parts may be used for
maintenance. Observe the Chapter 5.1 on Page 13.
1.3
Accessories
Do not use accessory parts other than those listed in the Order
list.
1.4
Safe coupling with electrical devices
Electrical connections to devices which are not listed in these
Instructions for Use should only be made following
consultation with the respective manufacturers or an expert.
1.5
Not for use in areas of explosion hazard
The purifying respirator is neither approved nor certified for use
in areas where combustible explosive gas mixtures are likely
to occur.
1.6
Safety symbols used in these Instruc-
tions for Use
These Instructions for Use use a number of warnings for risks
and hazards which might occur when using the device. These
warnings contain signal words which will alert you to the
degree of hazard you may encounter. These signal words and
corresponding hazards are as follows:

Description/Intended use

The purifying respirator Panorama BelAir
of
Belt unit
Full face mask or half mask with standard thread
connection
Respiratory filter BelAir 33 or BelAir 55.
With the particle filter BelAir 33
protects against solid and liquid particles.
With the combination filter BelAir 55
protects against solid and liquid particles, vapours and gases.
The protection level depends on the device combination:

Purifying
respirator
Optionally a prefilter can be attached to filter coarse dust from
the ambient air.
The purifying respirator in the combination with the full face
masks Dräger X-plore 6300 and Dräger X-plore 6570 and the
half masks Dräger X-plore 4740 has been tested and approved
in accordance with nach EN 12942:1998+A1:2002+A2:2008
and the PSA Directive 89/686/EEC.
It must not be used in explosive environments.
2.1
Limitations on use
The purifying respirator with particle filter BelAir 33 must not be
used against hazardous gases and vapours. Unventilated
reservoirs, pits, canals, etc. must not be entered with purifying
respirators. If the contaminants are not known, only
compressed air breathing apparatus or fresh air respirators
may be used with the mask.
