Maintenance
Read all instructions thoroughly. Be sure that you under-
stand all of the instructions and have the necessary
tools available before dismantling the puller.
Service Activity
Lubricate the drive chains
Grease the drive chain shafts
Inspect the chains and ratchet pawl
Inspect the commutator brushes
Electric shock hazard:
Disconnect the cable puller from the
power supply before servicing.
Failure to observe this warning could
result in severe injury or death.

6000-Series Super Tugger
Lubricating the Drive Chains (every 20 hours)
1. Remove the right outer guard (69) and left outer
2. Lubricate the inside of the chains with 80W-90W
Schedule
every 20 hours
3. Replace the guards and screws.
Greasing the Drivetrain Shafts (every 20 hours)
every 40 hours
Apply a multipurpose NLGI Grade 2 grease (such as
Mobil HP or Amoco Permalub) at the grease fittings
(5 and 37). These fittings are located inside the capstan
housing and under the countershaft (31).
