4. Application and handling of the electric power tool
a. Do not overload the appliance. Use the electric power tool
specified for your work. With the appropriate electric power tool you
will work better and safer in the stated power range.
b. Do not use any electric power tool whose switch is defective.
An electric power tool that can no longer be switched on or off, is
dangerous and must be repared.
c. Take the plug out of the socket and/or remove the battery,
before undertaking appliance adjustments, changing ancillary
components or putting the appliance away. These precautionary
measures avert unintended starting up of the electric power tool.
d. Keep electric power tools out of the reach of children when not in
use. Do not allow people to use the appliance who are not familiar
with it or have not read these instructions. Electric power tools are
dangerous if used by inexperienced people.
e. Maintain the electric power tool carefully. Check whether moveable
parts are working properly and do not stuck, or if parts are broken or
so damaged that the function of the electric power tool is impaired.
Have damaged parts repaired prior to application of the appliance.
The cause of many accidents is badly-maintained electric power tools.
f. Keep the cutters sharp and clean. Carefully maintained cutters with
sharp cutting edges get jammed less and are easier to operate.
g. Use the electric power tool, accessories, application tools etc. in
accordance with these instructions. In addition, consult the service
conditions and operating function. The use of electric power tools for
anything other than the designated uses can lead to dangerous situations.
5. Application and handling of the tool charger
a. Only charge the battery in chargers recommended by the
manufacturer. For a battery charger that is suitable for certain types of
battery, there exists a fire risk if used with other batteries.
b. Use, therefore, only designated batteries in the electric power
tools. The use of other batteries can lead to injuries and fire risk.
c. Keep the battery, when not in use, away from paper clips, coins,
keys, nails, screws or other small, metal objects, that could cause
an override on contact. A short circuit between the battery contacts
can result in burns or fire.
