• mow, chop and deposit the grass on 
the ground (mulching effect)
• mow the grass and discharge it on 
the ground from the rear section
The cutting-means assembly is delivered 
ready to operate in "mulching" mode.
To remove the grass from the rear of 
the cutting-means assembly
• Loosen and remove the knob (fig. 15.A) 
that fastens the chute (fig. 15.B).
• Remove the chute (fig. 15.B).
• Keep the knob and chute in a 
safe place for further use.

6.2 SAFETY CHECKS

Run the following safety checks and 
check that the results correspond to 
those outlined on the tables.
Always carry out the safety

6.2.1 General check

6.3 START-UP / WORKING

6.4 AFTER OPERATION

• Clean (par. 7.4).
• Check the machine for any 
damage. If necessary, contact the 
authorised service centre.
Result
All insulation intact. 
No mechanical damage.
Correctly tightened 
(not loose)
Correctly positioned
No abnormal vibrations.
No abnormal noise.

7. ROUTINE MAINTENANCE

7.1 GENERAL INFORMATION

IMPORTANT The safety regulations to
follow during machine use are described
in chapter 2. Strictly comply with these
indications to avoid serious risks or dangers.
All maintenance and control
interventions must be performed with
the machine stationary and the motor
switched off. Before cleaning or doing
maintenance work, take out the ignition
key and read the relevant instructions.
Use suitable clothing,
protective gloves and goggles
during maintenance work.
• The frequency and types of maintenance 
are summarised in the "Maintenance 
Table". The table will help you maintain 
your machine's safety and performance. 
It summarises the main interventions to 
be made and the frequency applicable 
to each of them. Carry out the relevant 
intervention according to the first deadline.
IMPORTANT Any maintenance and
adjustment operations not described in
this manual must be carried out by your
dealer or Authorised Service Centre.

7.2 WASH AND MAINTENANCE POSITION

1. Always apply the parking brake to prevent 
the machine from moving (Please also 
read the instructions provided in the ride-
on mower with front deck manual).
2. Disconnect the machine power 
cable connector (fig. 14.A).
3. Release the rear section of the 
cutting-means assembly:
– Grasp it as seen in (fig. 16.A) 
and lift it slightly.
– Rotate the support arms release 
lever (fig. 16.B) and slowly lower 
the cutting-means assembly.
– Perform the operation on both sides.
4. Grasp the front edge of the cutting-
means assembly (fig. 17.A) and slowly 
lift it until it reaches maximum height and 
clicks into position. The cutting-means 
assembly remains blocked in this wash 
and maintenance position (fig. 18).
