6.2 SURFOX application for smart phones

Prior to using your SURFOX™ Smart Passivation Tester, the SURFOX app will need to be installed on
your smart phone. The SURFOX™ Smart Passivation Tester will need an Apple iOS 7 or Android 4.1.X
device to run the SURFOX™ Application.
The SURFOX™ Application can be downloaded free of charge through the App Store for iOS or the
Google Play Store for Android.
Once the Application is installed on your smart device (phone or tablet), you are now ready to use the
SURFOX™ Smart Passivation Tester. You will need to have access to Wi-Fi and make sure that the
Bluetooth connection is ON on your smart device.

6.3 Power On/Off

Turn on the Bluetooth module unit of the passivation tester by pressing the POWER button.
green then blue.
The Bluetooth LED will blink
Turn the unit off by pressing and holding down the POWER button for two seconds.

6.4 Taking a measurement

Open the SURFOX™ App on your
smart device.
