WARNING! Risk of electric shock and

short circuiting. Use approved and intact
wall sockets. Make sure that the cable is
not damaged. Replace cable if it appears
to be damaged in any way. Regularly
check that the battery charger and the
battery are intact.
Bear in mind that:
•
Charge the battery using the battery charger supplied.
Do not use any charger other than that specifically
provided for use with the equipment.
•
To reduce risk of damage to electric plug and cord,
pull by plug rather than cord when disconnecting
charger.
•
The charger must be connected to a grounded outlet
socket.
•
An extension cord should not be used unless
absolutely necessary. Use of improper extension cord
could result in a risk of fire and electric shock.
•
Do not disassemble charger, or attempt to service.
Note! The charger is not serviceble!
•
When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from
other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys,
nails, screws or other small metal objects, that
can make a connection from one terminal to
another. Shorting the battery terminals together may
cause burns or a fire.
•
The battery charger can be used by children aged
from 8 years and above and persons with reduced
physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved. Children shall not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by
children without supervision.
First time charge of battery pack:
The Li-Io battery pack was partially charged before
shipment. To maintain charge and prevent damage when
in storage, the battery pack is programmed to a "sleep
mode". A quick charge of approximately 10 seconds is
required to wake up the battery. Leave battery pack in
charger until fully charged.

Connect the battery charger to the voltage and
frequency specified on the rating plate.
Put the electric plug in a earthed socket-outlet.
Put the battery in the battery charger.
If the red charging light does not come on, remove the
battery pack and reinstall. Make sure the battery pack
is firmly installed in the battery charging bay. Red light
indicates battery pack is charging normally.
The display on the battery charger indicates how
much the battery is charged. Please see the engine
Operator's Manual for more information.
When the battery is fully charged the light turns green.
Charging time for a battery that is completely
discharged is approximately 1 hour.
The battery will stay charged if left in the charger.
When the green light indicates that the battery is fully
charged, it can be removed from the charger.
When not in use, disconnect the battery charger from
electrical outlet.
Do not charge the battery in direct sunlight.
Do not charge at temperatures below +5° C.
The battery must be charged in a dry and well-
ventilated area, protected from water, damp, oil and
grease.
Never charge the battery in the vicinity of flammable
substances or gases.
For commercial transports e.g. by third parties,
forwarding agents, special requirement on packing
and labeling must be observed.
For preparation of the item being shipped, consulting
an expert for hazardous material is required. Please
also observe possibly more detailed national
regulations.
Tape or mask off open contacts and pack up the
batteriy in such a manner that it cannot move around
in the packing.
Secure the machine during transport.
Always remove the battery for storage or transport.
Store the battery and the battery charger in a dry,
moisture-free and frost-free space.
Do not store the battery in places where static
electricity can occur. Never store the battery in a metal
box.
