REMOVING THE PACKAGING
It is advisable to keep the packaging for future use (for transporting or storing the machine).
If the machine is delivered packed in a box:
a. Remove the box which protects the machine during transport.
If the machine is delivered on a delivery pallet:
a. Separate the machine from the delivery pallet by unscrewing the fi xing screws

HANDLING
Given their small size and weight, the 510 and 511 model sanders can be handled by a single
person without the need for any hoisting or transport equipment.
Lifting and handling of the other models must be performed using bridge cranes or hoists
with an adequate hoisting capacity (see appendix) Harness up the machine in question as
illustrated in Fig. 2.

2.5.
POSITIONING/WORK STATION
Model 510/511 without workbench support
Secure the machine to the workbench using 4 nuts and bolts through the holes provided on
the motor base (Fig. 3).
Model 510/511 with workbench support
Place the motor base on the workbench support, securing the machine using the relative
screws, washers and nuts supplied with the machine. Then secure the support, using the nuts
and bolts through the four holes (R) on the support itself, (Fig. 4), onto a workbench or onto a
pedestal at a height of between 900 - 950 mm from the ground.
The workbench surface on which the machine is placed must be big enough to guarantee
machine stability at all times.
Model with pedestal
a. Secure the pedestal to the ground using rawl bolts (not provided) inserted in the 4 holes
(R) present on the pedestal itself (Fig. 5): diameter of the pedestal hole 10 mm.
DANGER - CAUTION
Machine positioning in the work area must be performed ensuring a clearance of
at least 800 mm on all sides of the machine.
b. Position the machine in a work area with adequate lighting.
c. Make sure that there are no fl ammable substances around the work area nor any items
which may be damaged by incandescent metal particles.
