1.) Designation

2.) Scope
The CONREST Half-Rescue-Stretcher is made for emergency
evacuation in confined spaces, it is not made for fall arrest. Make
sure that no suspension trauma occurs to the casualty by hanging
for long periods in the system. Make sure there is a suitable rescue
plan.
3.) Putting on the CONREST
•
Open all straps and buckles and place them to the side
•
Place the casualty on the CONREST
•
Close leg straps by following the colour coded buckles. Black to
Black, white to white tighten leg loops, be careful not to
strangulate the legs .
•
Close hip belt velcro
•
Close shoulder straps by following the color coded buckles.
Black to black first
•
Close head velcro to secure casualties head
•
Place wrists through elastic straps to keep arms secured
Make sure the straps are adjusted properly to fit without any
pressure.
4.) Attachment of the rescue device
•
Attachment point b) can be used for a separate back up
system if the rescue device requires it.
•
You can use attachment point a) also for a vertical rescue
scenario for example out of manholes.
•
The Drag handles serve also as attachment points (marked as
„Bridles") for suspension systems like the SKYLOTEC
UltraBridles. Please also take note of the UltraBridles user
manual.
•
If you use the drag handles (c) as attachment points, take care
to attach all 4 drag handles to the bridle karabiners, for
example
transportation of the casualty is not safe and there is a risk of
injury.
