Insert the plug in a duly installed 230V/50Hz protective contact socket. The
details can be found on the appliance's nameplate.

Make sure that the appliance is switched off. (The light in the on/off switch is
off.)
1. Open the water tank lid.
2. Now fill with enough fresh cold water for the desired number of cups. You can
read the level on the water level display. Do not overfill the appliance.
3. Close the water tank lid.
4. Press the button on the top of the device and swing the filter out to the left.
Place a paper filter (size 1x4) carefully into the filter funnel and fill it with coffee
powder (approx. 1 teaspoon for two cups). Lock in the filter until it snaps into
place.
5. Place the pot evenly on the base.
6. Switch on the appliance (the LED in the switch lights up).
7. The brewing lasts about 10 to 15 minutes.
8. Your appliance is provided with a drip stop. By removing the pot, before the
water runs through the filter completely, it avoids that the coffee drips on the
base. If there is still water in the tank or filter, make sure that the pot is placed
back under the filter to avoid overflowing.
9. When no more coffee is running into the pot it can be removed.
10. If you would like to keep the remaining coffee warm, the switch must remain in
the „EIN/1" position. The hot plate will keep the coffee warm until you switch the
machine „AUS/0".
De-scaling is necessary when the brewing time increases substantially. Use only
commercially available citrus acid-based de-scaler. Follow the recommended
instructions for use.
