4. Keep the appliance and the power cord out of the reach of
children under 8 years.
5. CAUTION – Some parts of this product can become very hot and
cause burns. Particular attention has to be given where children
and vulnerable people are present.
6. Connect the appliance only to an AC power supply with the volt-
age indicated on the rating plate.
7. Do not operate this appliance with an external timer or remote
control system.
8. Never immerse the appliance or the lead cable in water or other
liquids.
9. The base should never come into contact with water or other
liquids. In case this ever happens, the appliance must be com-
pletely dry before operating it again.
10. Do not clean the appliance in a dishwasher.
11. Never touch the appliance or lead cable with wet hands.
12. This appliance is intended for domestic and similar use such as:
ƒ staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environ-
ments;
ƒ agricultural enterprises;
ƒ by clients in hotels, motels and other accommodation facilities;
ƒ bed and breakfast accommodations and holiday homes.
13. For safety reasons, never place the appliance on hot surfaces, a
metal tray or a wet surface.
14. Do not place the appliance or lead cable near open flames dur-
ing operation.
15. For safety reasons never cover the appliance or the baking plates
with aluminium foil or transparent film.
16. Do not heat any pot or pans on the baking plates.
17. Always use the appliance on a level, uncluttered and heat-resist-
ant surface.
18. Make sure that the lead cable does not hang over the edge of the
worktop or table, since this can cause accidents, for example if
small children pull on the cable.
19. Route the lead cable so that it is prevented from being pulled or
tripped over.
