When you guide the trimmer through thick or long hair, you have to move
the trimmer slowly and move it away from the head often to cut at any
moment only a small amount of hair.
[E] Trimming
•
If you want to trim the sideburns neatly and even out the hairline, use the
trimmer without the comb attachment and hold it in a reverse position.
Pay close attention when you trim without using the attachment. The
blades made from sharpened steel could with their oscillating motion injure
the exposed skin areas when handled carelessly.
•
To trim the hair close to the ears, place one end of the cutting unit to the
hair. Make sure that the teeth of the cutting unit are in a safe distance
from the ears.
•
When trimming a beard and a moustache, use the trimmer with one of the
double sided comb attachments. Usually, it is best to start with the
attachment for a longer cut and then adjust the cut using the attachment
required for the desired length.
Care and Cleaning
•
Do not disassemble the trimmer, you could damage it or prevent its normal
functioning [F].
•
Do not use volatile substances or abrasive cleaners for cleaning. Use only
cloth, if necessary slightly moistened with a weak detergent solution or
alcohol for cleaning the external surface. You should apply a suitable
lubricant after cleaning, for example the one used for sewing machines
[G].
•
Use only brush to clean the cutting unit. Do not wash the trimmer under
running water and do not immerse it in water [H].
•
Do not charge the trimmer outside of the 0'C to +40'C temperature range.
The charging efficiency would decrease [I].
Treatment of the blades
1. Hold the trimmer with the working side down and slide the blade out of the
holder with a careful push [J].
2. Press the tab to separate the blades for easier cleaning [K].
3. Lubricate the blades with one or two drops of oil [L].
